Ingredients
- 1 bottle stout beer
- 70% weight demerara sugar
Pour the beer into a saucepan and reduce about half the volume at medium heat. Take it off the heat and pour it into a fresh container on a kitchen scale, adding the demerara sugar. Stir until incorporated, bottle it, and store in the refrigerator.
Note: although syrups typically feature 1:1 sugar content, this one is intentionally lower to allow slightly larger pours, in order to really feature that beer flavor.
